Theta Alpha Kappa - The National Honor Society for Theology & Religious Studies

Theta Alpha Kappa is the national honor society recognizing academic excellence in the fields of theology and religious studies.

Membership is a fine opportunity for a student’s outstanding work in theology & religious studies to be recognized at graduation and with participation in a national academic society.

To be eligible, students must be completing a major or minor in TRS and achieve at least a 3.5 GPA in TRS courses and at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
Students are honored in their senior year.  They are recognized at an April TRS Honoring Lunch Banquet.  They also receive a red cord to be worn at graduation.  Students contribute $25 toward the $75 membership fee, which is subsidized by the School of Theology and Religious Studies.

Student Profile

Being a member of Theta Alpha Kappa is a source of great pride for me. After spending the past four years studying Theology and Religion, I am honored to be recognized for my achievement. It is exciting to know that I am a part of a national community of scholars devoted to the field of Theology and Religous Studies.
