Welcome to the School of Theology and Religious Studies at The Catholic University of America.  We take our name very seriously  since we are pleased to offer  a rich and  comprehensive program covering seven academic areas and several sub areas in Theology and allied disciplines.

     We also take the university’s name very seriously, specifically the words Catholic, University and America.  We are pleased and proud to offer a broad ranging program that reflects the breadth and depth of Catholic thought, imagination and practice.  We are equally pleased and proud to offer all of this within the academic rigors of a university in these United States.  Situated in our nation’s capital STRS is a place where students can avail themselves of the political and cultural opportunities that only a capital city can offer.

     As one of CUA’s original Schools, STRS is fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and the Vatican’s Sacred Congregation for Catholic Education to offer seven civil and ecclesiastical degrees.  This is one of the characteristics that make us unique in the United States and internationally.
