An introduction to the contemporary study of the Gospel of Luke: the use of the Gospel of Mark, the Q Source, the possibility of a "proto-Luke," and the literary and theological unity of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. The overall structure and message of Luke-Acts. Detailed analysis of select passages from the Gospel of Luke, devoting special attention to the unique contribution of this Gospel to the early Church's Christology and Soteriology.
