STRS Proudly Graduates 64 Students

On Saturday, May 14th, the School of Theology and Religious Studies distributed degrees to 64 of its undergraduate and graduate students.

The degrees conferred include 17 Bachelors of Arts, four Bachelors of Sacred Theology, 11 Bachelors of Sacred Theology / Masters of Divinity, one Master of Catechesis, three Masters of Divinity, four Master of Arts, two Licentiates of Sacred Theology, one Doctor of Ministry, two Doctors of Sacred Theology, and 17 Doctors of Philosophy.

 

Mrs. Abimbola Akintolayo, M.A., Assoicate Director of Admissions and Graduate Programs, opens the commencement ceremony as the Commere of Ceremonies.

Dr. Mattison, the new Dr. Mark DeCelles, and Dr. DeCelles' dissertation director, Dr. William Loewe. Dr. DeCelles' disseration was titled, "The Faithfulness of God in the Theology of Walter Kasper."

Rev. Tongchun Chen, who received his Licentiate in Sacred Theology. His thesis was titled, "From Slave to Beloved Brother: Interpreting Paul's Appeal to Philemon on Behalf of Onesimus."

Rev. Michael Wimsatt, who received his Doctorate in Sacred Theology, and Sean David McKinley, who recieved his Bachelor of Sacred Theology & Master of Divinity.
