Sacrosanctum Concillium 50th Anniversary Scholarly Symposium Held

International scholars gathered at The Catholic University of America for a symposium honoring the 50th Anniversary of the promulgation of the Second Vatican Council’s Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (Sacrosanctum Concillium): Tradition and Progress. The purpose of the symposium was to encourage high level scholarly discussion in order to rekindle enthusiasm for the hope and challenge offered to us by the Constitution. Dean Mark Morozowich welcomed the participants and commented: “this opportunity to engage the tradition of the Catholic Church and to look at the interplay with liturgical progress presents an important moment for us to reflect critically and enter into frank discussion about the future.” (For more information on the symposium, click here.)
