Biography
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Theresa V. Lafferty earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Civilization and a Master of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Master of Arts in Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA where she whetted her interest in studying Sacred Scripture. She is a May 2010 graduate of the Biblical Studies Program at STRS, having defended her dissertation entitled, The Prophetic Critique of the Priority of the Cult: A Study of Amos 5:21-24 and Isaiah 1:10-17 under the guidance and direction of Fr. Begg, Dr. Miller, and Fr. Jensen. Prior to and during the pursuit of the doctoral degree, Dr. Lafferty taught Catholic school students in every grade level from kindergarten through Master’s students. Dr. Lafferty lives with a cairn terrier, Samson, and three parakeets, Amos, Isaiah, and Nebuchadnezzar.
