Dr. Joshua Benson Publishes Essay in Book
Dr. Benson published “Matthew of Aquasparta’s Sermons on Theology,” in Franciscans and Preaching, edited by Timothy J. Johnson and published by Brill in 2012. This volume is the first concerted study of Franciscans and preaching in English, and Dr. Benson's essay is the first on these sermons of Aquasparta, a Franciscan theologian, Minister General and eventually Cardinal who died around 1302.
